- Early Childhood Teacher
Our ideal applicant will be strong both academically and artistically and have expertise in meeting the needs of our Awhina early learners. They will be able to foster a love of learning in children and create a positive and healthy social dynamic within our Steiner inspired environment.
To apply for this unique position, you will need to hold a current New Zealand Teacher Registration and have experience working with the Licensing Criteria for Early Childhood Education and relevant Ministry of Education regulations.
Awhina Childcare is located in secluded, beautifully cultivated grounds in Havelock North. It is a safe, peaceful, and natural learning haven only minutes from vibrant Havelock North village and 30 minutes from Napier. Rhythm is integral to our philosophy and essential in the care and support of the young child. The daily rhythms of Awhina provide the child with a sense of belonging, a sense of security, including a sense of time and space. This allows the child to explore and venture out to interact with the environment in a meaningful way, which warmly supports the child’s development now and in the future.
Awhina has been providing childcare in a nurturing home-like environment for the last 25 years.
