Jessica is a fully registered ECE teacher with a Bachelor of Education (ECE) gained at AUT. She has 10 years experience working with children in roles as a visiting teacher, head teacher and ECE teacher in centres around Auckland and also for a year in the UK.
Jessica’s teaching philosophy is derived from the Reggio Emilia approach, she believes that children are natural communicators and collaborators who learn through interaction within their environment and should be encouraged to express themselves however they feel they can. At the core of this, Jessica believes in building positive, trusting and respectful relationships with children in order to be an important part of their learning journey.
Jessica enjoys being in nature, surfing, travelling, being with friends and family, and loves animals (especially her cat and dog, Abu and Luna).
