- Lovely professional family in Paddington are looking for a full-time nanny/house manager to care for G6 and B4.
Duties will include -
school pick ups and drop offs
general household duties eg. children's laundry, children's cooking, groceries, keeping house tidy
Must have current drivers' license - the family will provide the car. There is street parking available for the nanny.
The days and normal hours over 5 days - 35 hours per week (Flexible)
Monday 7.00am - 5.00pm
Tuesday 7.00am - 9.00am
Wednesday 7.00am - 9.00am
Thursday 7.00am - 5.00pm
Friday 7.00am - 5.00pm
For the right candidate the family is happy to be flexible and discuss hours. Same hours with a possibility of a few more will apply throughout the school holidays.
Would also consider 3 days Mon,Thur and Fri and Tue and Wed hours flexible.
An ideal nanny will be reliable, nurturing and kind with a bubbly/outgoing personality. A nanny that is happy to put the children first, cares for them and is able to engage/play and have fun. You will need to be proactive and mature and an intuitive nanny who will support the whole family and stay on a long term basis.
The week will be a mix of pick up and drop offs from school and after school activities. Thursday and Friday are spent more one on one with B4 and the family are also requiring a nanny to keep the household running with some light household chores, cooking, running errands and grocery shopping.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
Care for the children
Provide routine and structure
Provide age appropriate activities (plan, engage, play)
Take the children out for walks/park/playground
appointments and organised activities
Run errands (occasionally)
Cook for children
Help with homework
Family Laundry
Grocery Shopping
Assist with light household duties i.e. keeping the main areas of the house tidy, wipe up messes etc.
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
3 years + experience as a nanny or working in child care
Child care qualification (preferred)
Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
Have a current working with children’s check number
Toddler/Preschool experience
Nurturing, kind, reliable and proactive
Display strong communication skills and speak English proficiently.
To be fit, healthy and active
Non smoking
Able to cook and prepare snacks for the children
Full Drivers Licence and clean driving record - Confident driver
Covid 19 Vaccinated
The family are looking for a January start and for a minimum 12 month commitment with the view to be longer term.
Please note the family have had a long term nanny who is a valued member of the family.
They are looking for their next nanny to also become part of the family.
